Why I Created This Website
I was lookin' for something I couldn't replace
Been all around the world
And as a matter of fact
There's only one place left I want to go
Who says you can't go home?"
Bon Jovi - Have A Nice Day
I have had the great fortune to travel all over North America. I’ve strained my neck looking up at the skyscrapers of Toronto. I’ve marvelled at natural wonders such as Niagara Falls and the Rocky Mountains. I’ve enjoyed the beaches of the Carolinas, the food and hospitality of Quebec, and the nights of Las Vegas.
While I still have every intention of adding to my destinations accomplished list, something funny has happened along the way. The more I have travelled, the more I've come to realize what a wonderful place I have called home all of my life.
I've always heard tourists telling me what a wonderful part of the world we live in. I could never figure out why they come here. But it turns out they're right. More and more I have been experiencing the northwest that I had always taken for granted. The northwest might lack big city life, but it offers so much more.
Along the way I have collected many digital photos, notes and memories. That's when I realized these images and stories are not doing much good sitting on my computer's hard drive.
So I have created this website, in blog formation, so that others can see some of what northwest BC has to offer. While this site may be of interest to all the tourists, I create this site with locals like me in mind. This is my way of giving back.
